My project rethinks what RAF Northolt could be in its context of the surrounding Bucolia and that role of the monarchy being patrons of grand designs that are then enjoyed or admired by the public. As their contemporary roles become more like a theatrical display/ 'tourist attractions', the landscape allows a processional event to take place at the moments of entry/ exit of the monarch. The landscape becomes a kind of indicative instrument of arrival and departure and changes according to its users.
