Portraiture of a People's Republic

The year’s venture centred on re-examinning Hong Kong’s novel position as a new possession of China. Borrowing its physical context from a factual on-going redevelopment of the city’s Central corridor, the scheme attempted to engrave a political ground at the epicentre of a state where architectural debate was solely centred on economical development. 4 building plots on the corridor each marks a part of an extension to an existing annual protest route, itself extended from the city’s annual remembrance of Tienanmen 1989’. once again we should install a debate, based on public discourse and expression, back to the financial heart of the People’s Republic.
