The design proposal incorporates transitional spaces that ¬serve as extensions of the traditional classroom providing flexible learning environments within a dense urban context. Permeable and movable building elements feature extensively and are designed to achieve good environmental conditions in different seasons and situations. Detailed simulation studies assessed thermal and daylight performance including glare control and solar protection. The architectural language of the building blurs conventional spatial boundaries providing a dynamic expression of diverse visual and thermal experiences in response to occupant requirements.
