“In the middle of the journey of our life I found myself within a dark woods where the straight way was lost.”
-- Dante Alighieri, Inferno

The Colonnade is a mews in Bloomsbury, at the back of Russell Square station. Hardly noticed by the tourists that have crowded into the area, it is quite isolated from all the busy London life around it, with its only connection to the external world through a small entrance tunnel. Everybody passes by; nobody stops for it. Nobody knows what happens inside. They have missed the opportunity to encounter a different world. The tunnel is not an entrance to hell. It is the way out of it.
