Architecture as a gift

Buildings to the city, rooms to the people

Approaching architecture as a gift, the wish was to give the city of London something missing, something new; sometimes necessary, sometimes not; but always delivering joy of stopping by, to catch sun or observe others as they, detached, accompany us. These places of encounter, perhaps useless in nature, have their place if for nothing, but the pleasure of visiting or passing through.

New Westminster bridge

-Guess what is not missing in London anymore?
-A beach?
-Well, almost...A piazza! We finally got a proper piazza.

-Wow, have you seen the House of Lords like this?
-No. Quite cool, right?

-Let's go for a run! We've got the new higline now!
-OK, but 2 loops max, I am telling you. Otherwise it's neverending.

The tunnel and the bridge building

Front elevation of a building complex that acts as a bridge from front and tunnel from side, aiming not to restrict movement through the city in any direction.

Making the city swim

Jantzen...? A city? Pool? Home?
A campaign poster for Jantzen, a pool project that aims to bring the disappeared bathing culture of London back.

Making the city swim

A campaign poster for living in Jantzen, a residential tower with indoor pool (the best in London, btw).

Making the city swim

A campaign poster taking a swim in Jantzen, (almost endless) pool in the sky.

can we/shall we/would we participate in the life of "places" we live beyond the confines of our flats?
